Too big for life insurance….
We finally got around to getting a life insurance quote through hubby’s work a while back, bad news… he is too big to qualify. He is a ‘husky’ man, definitely over weight, but not to the point of being gross or anything. He really does need to loose weight though, my plan is to go on a diet together once I have the baby. Doing it more for ME than for him, he is pretty anti-diet for some reason, one he has given me is that he is afraid to fail… I can sorta understand that. Since I can’t diet right now, as a matter of fact my doc wants me to GAIN weight right now! LOL
But, when I have the baby and diet, he will have to diet with me so we will only buy healthy food and such and help each other. As well as being able to go on walks and such. At least that is the plan right now. I will feel much more comfortable if we have life insurance for him, since we have a baby coming and he is the bread winner, god forbid something happens.

Congratulations on your coming new addition! You may want to shop around for your hubby. He should be able to qualify for a term life insurance policy. Obviously he won’t qualify for the best available rate, however if weight is simply the issue (with no other health conditions) he should be able to qualify for a policy.

Too big for life insurance? WTF? That makes no sense to me at all. My boyfriend is obese and had no problem at all. I think smoking would be a lot worse. No fair. I agree with the last poster…you need to check around with other insurance reps. Good luck to you!
