Updates from the Pregnancy Palace

I have not been updating the blog much lately, things have been ok though. With a lack of blog jobs and a lack of energy and ambition, I just haven’t made it online LOL. The pregnancy is going good, no big developments, my next appointment is April 23rd and we should find out the sex of the baby then, I am so exited!

My friend Tiff spent some time in the hospital, she had a etopic pregnancy that ruptured and they had to do surgery and remove the tube, she ended up needing like 4 liters of blood. It was scary for a bit until they got her to surgery and then it was just recovery time. The tube should have never ruptured, she had been to the er FOUR times in the previous week for bleeding and cramping, they even did ultrasounds and ‘couldn’t find the baby’ anywhere, so instead of assuming etopic like they should have, with her HCG levels being high enough where it would be seen in the uterus; they sent her home diagnosed with a UTI and told her to stop worrying and when she mentioned a etopic they told her self diagnosis is ALWAYS wrong… welllll, come 4 in the morning when she passes out and has to be rushed to the ER with a bottomed out blood pressure and every other symptom of internal hemorrhage they wait until 9am to do another ultrasound where they find— shockingly, tons of blood and a ruptured tube… rushed to Gainsville and into surgery they had to make huge cut and major surgery for something that should have been handled by a small laproscopic incision had the hospitals before caught it. She has an appointment with a lawyer on friday, wish her luck!

Whew… update over!

Oh, how I feel for your friend. I had an etopic pregnancy. They are so very painful. Mine didn’t burst, but was rushed to the operating room when I felt my soul leaving my body. Strange experience by the way.

Those things can be so hard to diagnose. Did they even tell her that it was a possibility? My doctor did a scope, the laproscopic incision you mentioned, to see if it was in the the tube and was watching me very carefully. At the same time they didn’t want to operate and risk aborting the baby if it was just to little no see.

It will likely take her years to recover physically and emotionally. My heart goes out to her.

I’ll

Being a single man it is hard to fathom what you are going through, but my sister is pregnant for the 4th time, and lives with me, so I get a little taste of it

cheers!
