Daddy Easter Gift

Joseph has been so good to me lately, cleaning, cooking, etc. I am looking into getting him something as a surprise for easter to show him my appreciation for everything, I am really liking the idea of one of these Seiko watches for him, he needs one. I see quite a few I like, mainly the sporty ones. I have to look at the budget some but I think we can do it. He deserves something nice for all he has been doing lately. He is my hero.

If nothing else, I mean, if we can’t afford it I am gonna get him a nice card and a little mini basket and maybe a video game, we will see, anything is better than nothing… right?

Heard the Heartbeat

We had a doctor appointment yesterday morning, it went great, they said everything looks perfect- no ultrasound yet but we did get to hear the heartbeat! It was beautiful, strong and fast. Joseph nearly cried, as did I. :-) Our next appointment is in 4 weeks, time is flying!

I am super tired today, not feeling too good, mainly just tired and nauseous. No fun! 11 weeks and 2 days into it, the second trimester is coming up soon, crossing my fingers that it is a good one!

Free Magnets

Check out the custom magnets offered over at vistaprint- just use coupon code “Blog25FreeMag” to get 25 Free small magnets. I have always loved the custom magnets, checks, stamps, address labels and such, when I was younger my favorite piece of mail was the junk mail with the check designs, I always wanted to get some cool ones! I am such a dork when it comes to that stuff.

Joseph and I have yet to get anything like that, but we rarely write checks, never send snail mail, and what would we do with 25 magnets? LOL I don’t think we really need address labels for anything, although they are cool!

Speaking of Joseph, he got uniforms yesterday, they are so cute! LOL It will save us so much time and energy in laundry, as for 10 dollars a week they are all laundered for him, and any rips and tears are repaired- free- no more buying new pants after a few weeks because the old ones ripped! I thought it would look dorky, but they are actually professional and classy looking. The shirt is light blue and the pants are a darker blue, with his name and everything.

Itchy Itchy

Getting back into the swing of things is not easy, I pushed it a little hard yesterday so today is a little rough, but still better than the last few weeks. The newest pregnancy symptom is being itchy all over, I have tried lotion a thousand times with no results. Grrrr!

I have a doctor appointment tomorrow morning, I cant wait, we are suppost to be able to hear the baby’s heartbeat! I don’t have a lot to do today, just a little laundry and picking up, thank goodness, I really just want to curl up and sleep all day!

Be Oyster Aware

oyster-pearl.jpgWhile I don’t eat any sort of Gulf oysters I am fascinated by the objects they hold inside. The question has been raised, what if they offered something else? I don’t know, I think the best thing to find would be a pearl, nature at its best!

The site linked talks about the oyster, and specifically the risks in eating them if you are “at risk” and advises you to be aware. I don’t eat them for personal preference, just not my thing! Nothing against them, I would love to try one one day and find a beautiful pearl! I may try a cooked one first, but I don’t think I should while pregnant maybe after, we will see.

Lucky thing I got through this post without getting sick… just the thought of the slimy raw ones! Time to find something really really cooked to eat! (of course I am super hungry again!) Even though I am a little sick still but have gotten a lot done today, time to take a little break and watch a bit of Lfetime Movie Network!

What are your favorite oyster recipes? I will file them away to try once I have this little one!
