Getting the Habit

I bought a new purse and wallet last week and added in my medical id and a emergency contact card with all my husband and families numbers. It always worries me not to have that, what if I get in an accident and cant tell them who I am or that I am preggo, or who to call. I am trying my best to get in the habit of wearing the purse- everywhere, and keeping my wallet in there.

See, I am a back pocket girl, I usually throw my debit card and ID in my back pocket and go, usually forgetting one or the other! And at 26, I need to get into wearing a purse, period! Especially now that I am pregnant, I wouldn’t want them giving me something that could hurt the baby because they didn’t know there was one, you know? I think I am becoming a worry wart in my old age! LOL

I did that a month ago..hehe.. I loved this purse, and it was totally cool.. but after I added my stuff to it..it’s about 25 pounds.. I bought a cheepy one..and am auctioning it on ebay.. didn’t realize I had a hot commodity - almost selling it for more than I bought on clearance!

BTW..if you put your emergency contact in your phone under
ICE - (in case of emergency) often times paramedics will check that if they can’t find ID’s ….

I’m a purse junky, have literally dozens of them. I’m always on the quest for the ONE, that purse that meets all my needs. Have yet to find it. I’m currently using a combination of two purses. One is large, and holds the bulk of those things that I carry with me everyday. The other is small, and carries the things that I have to have with me no matter where I’m going, money, debit card, ID, and a deck.

For emergency contact, I found that because I’ve got a TON of contacts in my cell phone, it was a pain to scroll down to the ICE entry. I put my husband’s cell number under the listing, “A husband Michael,” that way it’s the first on the contact list, people can easily identify our relationship, and they have his first name as well.

Hey cool blog!

I’m not a purse girl either! I tend to either take a backpack around or just carry my wallet around. In the summer I’ll take a purse sometimes. It just depends on what I’m doing I guess! I’ll take a purse to go to the movies so I can sneak in peanut M&Ms!

What a cute blog you have!
I carry a diaper bag right now instead of a purse, but that’s a great idea.
I have my ICE (in case of emergency) programmed into my PDA and my medical info. But, a card in the wallet is a great idea too!
