Keep your Credit

I am sure you have seen the commercials, that say “I’m Todd Davis, CEO of LifeLock, and yes, that’s my real social security number.” While the lifelockprogram isn’t for me, if someone wanted to steal my identity all they could do is make it better. Between 2 failed marriages my credit is about as bad as it could ever be. M husbands credit however, is great, he had one bad thing on there and we just finished paying that off.

We plan on using some of our tax refund to get financing at Farmers Furniture to get a new living room set and possibly a washer and dryer. We are going to put about 50% down on it and finance the rest to help build his credit up so we can buy a house one day. I am looking into the lifelock service for him, that or one of the credit monitoring programs they advertise to get a free credit report, to keep up with what is on his credit. I think Lifelock is more ‘valid’ I cant help but think that the others to get a free credit report are spam, what do you think?

Lifelock is only 10 dollars a month, like the others that are like 9.99 a month, but lifelock says they reduce junk mail and CC offers along with the credit protection. What would you do, Lifelock or one of the credit monitoring services?

I think if you want to keep someone from stealing your hubbie’s identity, LifeLock is better than a credit monitoring service. Lifelock will actually prevent it and credit monitoring just lets you know after it happened - then you’re on your own to fix it.

I saw a Lifelock promo code in the Nashville paper in early Jan. that if you use the promotion code - 8 - you can get it for $8 a month with a free month. I signed up with them then and used it. Lifelock will give you credit reports too.

New furniture and washer/dryer sound yummy! I was looking at my living room furniture this morning and thinking it didn’t look as good as it did 9 years ago…..

I never get comfortable with services providers like lifelock. If one of them offers a moneyback with trial for a year or so, I might become a convert :-)

I am pretty sure Lifelock has a 100% money back guarantee with it from what I read.

identity theft sure is a serious problem that is becoming a headache for more and more victims… lifelock says that it procects your credit through credit monitoring, fraud alerts, junk mail filtration or whatnot…
but off course the best dose of prevention is to vigilantly monitor your credit… but if god forbid, it happens to us, if they deliver what they say they will, then its gonna give us a whole lot of peace of mind… i gonna try and read some more on this….
