Dreams… I need some translation.
I have crazy dreams, I know it is from the Seroquel as it all got worse when I started taking it. I am a believer that dreams mean something, that they are like your subconscious trying to communicate something important. Most of my dreams I can’t remember, I just know they were bad from the way I woke up. BUT, there are two dreams that happen about once a week each and really mess me up for a little while when I wake up. Maybe some of you can help brainstorm what they mean.
The first one is me back in school, sometimes college, sometime high school. In the dream I am lost, I cant ever find the right class, I am late to classes, I cant get to my locker on the other side of school in time to make it to class, sometimes I make it to class but don’t have my backpack or books. It is one big mess and I cant seem to get anything right. Sometimes in the dream I am really tired and keep falling asleep in class and wake up in the wrong class room. That is the jist of that one, I don’t remember any of the people or teachers and it is like everything is moving double speed but me! Any ideas?
The second dream is me and my huband have a baby, but we keep leaving the baby places and loosing it, not realizing we forgot the baby for hours and then rushng around trying to find him/her. The baby is always ok and 9 times out of 10 it was my fault we left the baby and like the school dream, everything is moving fast and I am constantly confused. I am sure a therapist would have a field day with that one!! LOL

You’re right. Dreams are manifestations of your subconscious. It’s strange that you remember your dreams. Most adults don’t.

thanks Leon, I never used to remember them until I started taking my sleep meds, Seroquel, one of the side effects is crazy dreams I guess!

it’s genetic. Your mother has always had crazy, epic dreams. Just the other night I dreamed I had 26 babies and I felt terrible because I couldn’t remember all their names, but I was afraid I had named 2 of them Eric and one was Korean and I named him Kung Pow. Figure that one out!
Also, when I dream about my children, they are always little kids. I never dream of them as the adults they are. In dream land, they never get older than 8!
I love my dream life. I’m thinking about starting a dream blog!

I’d interpret those dreams as you feel like you are missing out, or misunderstanding, some important lesson or stage in your own development. But I don’t know you that well, so I could be wrong.

It is actually weird if you don’t remember your dreams. Dreams are direct messages from the unconscious if you don’t remember them it’s because you don’t (subconsciously) accept that message.
So it’s good to remember them and look for interpretation
