I have talked to several women who say “are you OK with being a ‘housewife’? Isn’t it offensive?” Well, honestly, no, and I don’t get offended when a man holds open the door for me. I didn’t get offended when I was at basic training for the army they allowed us girls to do push up on our knees. I am a woman, period. I work at home. I am a wife. I take care of the house….. so why should I be offended by the term housewife? Would you be offended if someone called you a office manager if you work in a office, you manage the office… well, bad example, but you get what I am saying.

I do not feel the ‘housewife’ is derogatory, in any way, and by saying I am a housewife, I am simply shortening my description. I confess, I am in now way, shape, or form a perfect housewife, heck, my husband is in charge of dishes! I may not be perfect, but it is who I am. Especially in this town, it is much easier to say you are a housewife to someone than to try to say your a ‘blogger’ then you have to explain what a blogger is, sometimes even whatthe internet is! No, it is not that bad, but hardly anyone around here knows what a blog is!

I’m so sick of hearing how there’s no strong roles for women. I don’t care about strong roles. I just want to see women who are characters! A nun, a serial killer, a housewife, as long as there’s some depth there.

I have been looking for a good way to keep track of my weight loss online, and be able to share it here in a ‘pretty’ way. I found this site, Traineo to be just what I was looking for. I am hoping to be down to 150lbs by my birthday (12/24). And have been going to the gym 2 times a week. My husband and I are also starting to go for a short walk about 4 times a week. I hope I hit my goal sooner, but any amount of loss will be nice! Now I just have to remember to log in every once and a while and update it!

Joseph wants to try lipozene, but I am not sure if I want to go that route. We’ll see! Anyone that has taken weight loss supplements and had any success, let me know!

I got the replacement PayPal card in the mail yesterday, we immediately left to go to the bed place. We got there 30 minutes before they closed and the owner was there. We told her we were there to pick out a king sized bed and we were told that they had a bunch starting at 250. Well, she immediately was like, I don’ think so, our Kind sized beds start at 600!! I about cried, I was like but we were here 3 months ago and the lady that worked here showed us a ton, just like the ones in here now for 300 and under. That we had been saving for 3 months and were promised a nice bed. She said the lady we were talking about was fired last week for under pricing everything. I decided that it would be a better idea to get ’sad’ rather than ‘mad’ and I went with it, I got teary and was like she told us that we would be able to get one for 300. It worked, she said she was sorry the lady did that, but she had been young once too, so she took us in the back where all the beds were that had not been put into the system yet, we found a king sized sealy posterpedic, huge pillow top, with just a bunch of scuffs and such on the end (it it a factory outlet- dirty and damaged new beds get sent here)

She was so nice, she gave us that bed for 321.00 including tax. We also got the box springs but no frame, so I have gotta call around to see how much a frame will be. Lesson learned: It is much better to be nice no matter what you want to tell someone, than to freak out and get angry!

We got the bed home and set it up, along with the new sheet set and 4 new pillows we picked up on sale last week (600 thread count!) Oh my goodness- it felt amazing! I slept sooo well last night! I am so glad it worked out, I would have just lost it if she had not honored what her employee said. We have waited so long for this bed! We are going to take the old queen sized bed to the CARC - (the center for people with disabilities- dont know what it stands for, but thats what it is) they have a little store, and that is where I found my wedding gress for 65.00 when the first dress didnt work out. I am so glad we are able to ‘give back’ something now! They saved our wedding, my first dress had an alteration problem- 2 days before the wedding! And they sold me a beautiful dress with a train and everything for only 65! Whew!! They deserve everything we have! LOL

Thanks to LaDonna, who found a software to do this!! (She has it as well!) I don’t know yet if I am going to keep it running 24/7, but we will see. Also, can someone let me know if it does audio as well, lol, so I know if I need to watch what I say! I am going to put some curtians up in the kitchen, that glare is horrible!

I spent the last 2 days at the clinic, trying to get more sleep medicine, I don’t know if I lost some, or what, but I ran out, I knew I would run out early anyway because I was taking about 200 milligrams more than prescribed every night, as the 400 milligrams was not working after a few weeks. But I finally got in yesterday, after waiting in the office for an opening for 2 days, and he agreed that 600 mg a night was fine and gave me the needed samples. Whew, I slept last night and it helped soooo much! I feel much better today, and alot less overwhelmed with projects, thank goodness. I am stopping my wordpress reworked site soon, I am going to sell it and get rid of it! I think I need to go back to just blogging, I took on too much with the design project.

I still have alot lefto on this site to fix and take care of, little errors like the page navigation and adding more width to the content area. Hopefully in the next week or so I will have it all done!
