Diet Planning help
Ok, it is serious now! I am about 14 pounds away from my no zone, a place I do not want to hit… so I am seriously, no joking, no procrastinating, going on a diet and workout plan TODAY…. this can not happen. I have never been this overweight and I will not allow it.. So far I have only had coffee today, and I worked out for 30 minutes.. that was tough, I am sooo out of shape.. any suggestions for good CHEAP diets and really easy workouts for a very out of shape housewife? I have got to loose weight. I want to get back down to 150 ASAP… that is 36 pounds to loose… I will NOT hit 200…. will not.. thinking positively. I am going to have broccli for dinner tonight… period… God… this is pitiful, just thinking about a diet is making me hungry!

There’s this blog by Tim Ferriss that has the ff:
1. Avoid white carbos,
2. Eat the same few meals over and over again,
3. Don’t drink calories, and
4. Take one day off per week.
#2 may sound horrendous but with a little creativity you can make a combo from each group: proteins, leguems, and veggies.
#4 is fun since you get a day off from dieting.
I hope it helps

I gained a whole bunch of weight after I was diagnosed with Lupus and my activity level dropped right off and my meds made me gain also. I’ve since taken it all off, but it wasn’t easy. My tips are: (1) aim for high protein (not Atkins high, just normal high) and high fibre meals (so make your carbs really count). (2) Have healthy snacks in between meals so that you’re actually eating something every couple of hours. That keeps your blood sugar up so you don’t get those big hunger pangs. (I use veggie hotdogs, which are pretty much equivalent in all nutrient ways to 1/4 cup of low fat cottage cheese.) (3) Drink loads of water or my alternative: diluted apple juice. I get sick of glass after glass of water. But if I just put in just 1/5 of a glass of juice, it tastes much better. Plus keeping well hydrated helps you feel full.
